The first edition in 1913
The very first Tour of Flanders took place on May 23, 1913. Only 37 riders participated in this grueling 324-kilometer race, and the winner was local favorite Paul Deman.

THE DOMINANCE OF EDDY MERCKX
Although he only won the Tour of Flanders twice, Merckx is considered one of the greatest cyclists of all time. His victories in 1969 and 1975 are legendary.
THE RISE OF THE FLEMISH ARDENNES
In the 1970s, the focus of the race shifted to the Flemish Ardennes, with climbs like the Oude Kwaremont and the Koppenberg making the race even more challenging.
TUDOR PRo cYCLING’S DEBUT IN 2024
For the first time in its history, Tudor Pro Cycling participated in the Tour of Flanders in 2024. The team, led by owner and former champion Fabian Cancellara, made a notable entry into the race, marking a significant milestone for the young team.
